The MARN Directory is designed to help you find a Missing Animal Response (MAR) Trained group or individual in your area.
How to Find a Pet Detective using the Directory
The easiest way to find a pet detective that can assist you in your area is to click on the state or province where you live (or where your pet went missing if away from home). This will bring up a map with markers for all the pet detectives in that state and those willing to travel to that state. If you need specialized services, such as a tracking/trailing dog or assistance catching a shy, hard-to-trap animal, then you may want to use the Advanced Search form. Please note that Missing Animal Response Network does not employ the Missing Animal Response (MAR) Technicians listed in this directory and some of those listed are businesses that charge for their services.
Pet Detectives Near Me
If you click on a state/province, this will bring up a list of all the MARN trained individuals or businesses in that state AND those willing to travel to that state.

The Retrievers is a Minnesota-based all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing lost dog support services for rescues and individual dog owners. Services include:
1. Search Strategy and Consultation
2. Awareness Generation Assistance
3. Humane Capture of Skittish Dogs
4. Lost Dog Prevention Education
The Retrievers created the Missy Trap and the Raytripper electronic gate triggering system, two innovations that have proven highly successful at capturing skittish dogs, even those that will not enter a conventional trap. Our designs are shared freely with the public, and we have helped owners nationwide build and successfully use their own Missy Trap and Raytripper. Tutorials and schematics can be found in the Resources area of our website.

My own lost dog Rudy, dragged me into the lost pet world. I wanted every piece of information that I could obtain in order to help to bring him home. I found that the more I advocated for him, the more people surfaced requesting information and resources that have not been available in our state.
I am Rudy's voice; he and I advocate for the rights and efforts necessary to recover all lost pets. As a participant in the Delaware Animal Welfare Task Force. I submitted a written proposal as well as a personal presentation to establish a statewide lost and found pet registry. I have collaborated in the development of that registry. While the registry is still in the infancy stage, it did go live in January 2016. It is my hope that other states will follow. Then all states can connect the dots and form one nationwide lost and found pet registry!
